Stephenie Meyer Day photo

During Stephenie Meyer Days here, a group photo is taken.
This is Sunday's very wet group photo being taken.
The ladder is for the photographer, Shawna.
To see the group pictures from the Bella's Birthday celebration, and
also more pictures from our beautiful area, go to:

The City Sign

It's interesting to see the line of cars,
and the gathering of people, waiting to take a
picture of, and with, the Forks Welcome sign.
There is one at each end of town on Forks Avenue (Highway 101).
Since there is only one road into Forks,
from north or south, you can't miss it.
Just don't get run over - by the log trucks, or
the Twilighters jockeying for position.

Another LOCAL website

There is a website for The Cullen House -
The Miller Tree Inn at http://cullenhouse.blogspot.com/ .
The Miller Tree Inn is a beautiful bed and breakfast near downtown Forks that the Forks Chamber of Commerce designated as The Cullen House. The mailbox reads "Cullen" and Esme leaves notes on a whiteboard on the front porch about where they are and what they're doing. Guests of the inn are welcome to come in, but pictures of the outside can be taken by any. The grounds are quite pretty, and well kept. Well worth a stop.

Waves on First Beach

We went to First Beach on a windy day with our granddaughter, midweek so there weren't many people. The waves were coming in, and she enjoyed getting her feet wet a little, although the waves were big enough for her to come a-runnin' away from them!
First Beach has also become a tourist destination for the Twilighters, based on happenings in the books.

Twilight and Quilting

Being a quilter and a Blockswapper, the Twilight Phenomenon inspired me to do a quilt block swap with a Twilight theme. Each quilter made 12 blocks of one pattern in the colors of black, white, gray, and red (or any combination of those). Each pattern was different, as well. They sent their blocks to me, I swapped them out and returned a set of 12 different blocks to them. Each set was different from the others (to the best of my ability), so each quilt will be different. This picture is of the 30 different blocks that were made.
Quite a talented group!
Blockswappers is a Yahoo group. If you are also a quilter and would like to join in, you can learn more about us at:

First Beach in La Push

The tide is coming in at First Beach in La Push, the reservation where the Quileute tribe lives. You can see the curve of the headland, then the beach curves back around to form Second Beach.
