The tide is coming in at First Beach in La Push, the reservation where the Quileute tribe lives. You can see the curve of the headland, then the beach curves back around to form Second Beach.
This blog is dedicated to the Twilight phenomenon and how it is manifesting here in Forks, Washington.
From the day in July 2006 when Stephenie Meyer came to town to read from her first book, Twilight, to July 2009, when more than 16000 people visited in one month (and continue to set records of visiting), Forks has made a transition from the quiet logging, fishing, and arts town we fell in love with to the favored Twilight destination. The books and movies have an incredible following, and many of the fans have come to Forks to see the setting. In a town of about 3100 people, adding thousands is very noticeable.
Twilight is the name of the first book in a series of four books by Stephenie Meyer (Twilight, New Moon, Eclipse, Breaking Dawn), all based in the area of Forks and the West End . Twilight,New Moon, and Eclipse have been made into movies, and Breaking Dawn scheduled to follow.
